We're all going on a European Holiday, first stop Kaiserslautern.

Losing 3-1 in West Germany (There was a wall then kiddies!)...They came back to the Vic and lost 3-0.

Next stop sunny Bulgaria! Levski Spatak Sofia at home was a draw so off we went to the Luton of the East to watch Callaghan pull a shot out of the top draw and a game that went into extra time was won by Watford 3-1.

As a young lad I was now hopping for a big Spanish team or maybe an Italian team on the Mediterranean. A bit of football and a bit of sun...Nice.

We pulled Sparta Prague. Another communist country...brilliant.

We lost. in fact we got stuffed 3-2 at our place. 4-0 at theirs, on a night so cold I could have sworn I saw penguins on the pitch at half time.

Watford then plunge into the transfer market and sign a young lad call Maurice Johnston.. 'Mighty Mo' came from Partick Thistle and linked up with a beanpole stricker called George Rilley. Success followed.

Steve Sherwood scored with a drop kick (wind assisted) at Coventry.

We reach the FA Cup final at Wembley to play Everton.

Wilf Rostron gets sent off by Roger 'the perm' Milford at Luton and is banned for the Final.

Elton John bursts into tears during Abide With Me. I burst into tears as Andy Gray fouls Sherwood for the second goal in Everton's 2-0 win.
