Watford get their first shirt sponsorship deal with Truck makers Iveco.

No change in the style of the programme, just an increase in price to 40p

News Watford announce the first ever shirt sponsors, The truck makers Iveco take the honour.

Ross Jenkins has his testimonial season.

On the pitch..

An early season highlight is an 8-0 thrashing of Sunderland Blissett scoring four of them.
Blissett then becomes the first serving Watford player to play for England and hits a hatrick against Luxembourg later in the season.

Oh and we came Runners Up behind Liverpool in Division One and qualified for Europe. I almost forgot that bit!

We also played in the inaugural Football League Trophy. A Trophy that died on its arse. we did reach the Quarter Final losing to Reading. Watched by 3,500 fans.
