News Cliff Holton returns for £5,000 from Crystal Palace then leaves for Charlton after a further 24 games but still serves Watford in that Stewart Scullion is part of the deal.

Substitutes introduced for injuries the first of which for Watford was Roger Hugo away at Peterborough.

The Watford Supporters club are thrown out of the ground and official recognition withdrawn after St Leger tickets are sold.
The Supporters club which was an independent body (As per the Supporters Trust today) withered and died as a new Supporters club was formed by Watford Football Club.

In the League we finish 12th out of 24 of Division 3.
