Bill McGarry
(Watford Manager 1963-64)

News Former England international Bill McGarry joins as Manager replacing Ron Burgess.
Introduces Z-Cars "His favourite TV Programme" and the Hornets establish a 29 game unbeaten home run.

With only two promoted Watford's fate in the promotion race is sealed with a 2-1 defeat against Luton.

A young reporter by the name of Oliver Phillips covers his first Watford 1st team fixture. 6th April 1963. Cliff Holton playing for Crystal Palace scores a hatrick in a 4-1 home defeat.
