News Hospital Broadcasts get underway with the Watford V Gillingham match.
Programmes would carry inserts that divided the pitch into numbered areas. The commentator would say the number before describing the action.

Season ticket books introduced instead of cards.

The supporters club and board clash over the supporters club wanting a say in club policy. The supporters club handed to the board a yearly amount which was matched or doubled by Benskins. They now felt there should be a supporters voice at board level.
